A quick and healthy way to start the day is with this Homemade Hemp Seed Milk Smoothie. This smoothie is creamy and nutty because it has hemp seed milk in it. Its vegan, doesnt have any dairy, and can be changed to suit your tastes.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup homemade hemp seed milk
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup frozen berries strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional, for sweetness
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ice cubes optional
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional
Instructions:
Peel the ripe banana and place it in a blender
Add the frozen berries, homemade hemp seed milk, honey or maple syrup if using, and vanilla extract to the blender
If you prefer a colder smoothie, you can also add a few ice cubes at this point
Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy
Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup
Pour the homemade hemp seed milk smoothie into a glass
Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired
