Savor the rich, creamy goodness of a homemade chocolate pie with a crust made of buttery graham crackers. This simple recipe is ideal for anyone who enjoys chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Whipped cream for garnish
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions:

Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F

Melted butter, powdered sugar, and graham cracker crumbs should all be combined in a bowl

Stir until butter is distributed evenly over the crumbs

Form an even crust on the bottom and sides of a 9-inch 23 cm pie dish by pressing the mixture into it

The crust should be baked for 8 to 10 minutes, or until it is set and beginning to turn golden

Take it out of the oven and let it cool down while you make the filling

Mix the whole milk, heavy cream, and semisweet chocolate chips in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave

Cook in the microwave for 20-second bursts, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth

Let it cool down a little

Whisk the eggs, salt, and vanilla extract in a different bowl

Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture gradually while continuing to whisk to blend

Once the graham cracker crust has cooled, pour in the chocolate filling

The pie should be baked for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the filling is set on the outside but still jiggles slightly in the middle

After taking the pie out of the oven, allow it to come to room temperature

Refrigerate it for a minimum of two hours or until it becomes firm and well-chilled

Add chocolate shavings and whipped cream to the chocolate pie before serving

Cut and savor
