Asparagus Quiche Tart

This Asparagus Quiche Tart combines the freshness of asparagus with creamy Gruyere cheese in a buttery puff pastry crust. Its perfect for a winter meal or brunch gathering, offering a delicious blend of flavors and textures.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional

Instructions:

Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C

On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and fit it into a tart pan, cutting off any extra

Put olive oil in a pan and heat it over medium-low heat

It will take about 5 minutes of cooking the sliced asparagus until it is soft

Add pepper and salt

Cover the puff pastry crust with the cooked asparagus

Add the Gruyere cheese shreds on top

Add eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper to a bowl and mix them together using a whisk

Add this to the tart shell with the asparagus and cheese

Heat the oven to 400F

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set

Let the tart cool down a bit before cutting it

If you want, you can add chopped fresh parsley as a garnish

Enjoy while still warm
