With a crispy exterior and tender inside, this Golden Brick Tofu recipe offers a delightful combination of savory and sweet flavors. Ideal for a filling and hearty dinner.
Ingredients:
- 1 block firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400F 200C
Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes and place them in a bowl
In a separate bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch to make the marinade
Pour the marinade over the tofu cubes and gently toss to coat evenly
Transfer the tofu cubes to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spreading them out in a single layer
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tofu is golden and crispy, flipping halfway through
Once baked, remove from the oven and sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
