Ingredients:
- 4 slices steak cooked to preference
- 4 slices brie cheese
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 figs, sliced
- 4 slices bread of choice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Arugula or mixed greens optional, for garnish
Instructions:
Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat
Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring every now and then, for about 15 to 20 minutes, until the onions turn caramelized
Add pepper and salt to taste
Toast the bread until it turns golden brown in a toaster or a pan
To make the sandwiches, put a steak slice on each piece of bread, then caramelized onions, brie cheese slices, and fig slices
If you want, you can add arugula or mixed greens on top
Use the last few slices of bread to close the sandwiches
